We have found our first NAT. Woman
Wednesday, 07 July 2010 09:49

natwoman_edited1The NAT. Woman search is finally over. In April we asked you if there was someone out there who epitomises the NAT. brand, and what would this person be like. Your response was overwhelming and you have helped us define what your idea of this person should be. After weeks of going through the entries, the selection committee decided that there isn’t ONE but in fact a few who “fit the bill”. Our NAT. brand is many things to many people. It is very much alive with a personality of its own and with many facets to its brand promise. Now the intangibles are made real through a series of personalities we will be introducing to you.

So, without further ado and with much pleasure we would like to introduce to you our first NAT. Woman, Janine Hall who owns a luxury surf and yoga spa retreat in Bali
Janine Hall is first and foremost a NAT. fan, friend, supporter and a great believer in what we do at NAT. Unassuming but talented, Janine is natural, grounded and self effacing. On our first encounter, we asked Janine what drives her. She replied:
“My personal philosophy and what drives and motivates me is that you get out of life what you put in. You can't put in 20% and expect an extraordinary life. I believe in shooting high, anything is possible and at the end of the day you are the only one that stands in your way of achieving your dreams - dream big and follow your heart - don't let fear stand in your way or live a life dictated by dogma. Trust in your instinct and that it will lead you in the right direction.”
Although modest about her past achievements, Janine enjoyed a successful marketing career in fashion that took her to living in London, Sydney and Tokyo. At some point, Janine decided that there was more to life than giving all to one’s work. When she started sensing that the joy and challenge of her career had lost its allure and that she her normally optimistic view in life was dimming, she made a very bold decision and created a totally different world and lifestyle to what she was used to. Janine said:
“I think sometimes you reach the end of your chapter, it may be due to a number of reasons. For me, the challenge had been overcome and I was ready to switch gear from a corporate life where success was measured by my career success to one where it was measured by my happiness and self fulfilment. It was all about revisiting my vision and admitting that my current reality was not matching my future vision and due to this I felt my passion going. When I started being a glass half empty person I knew it was time to action! It took me three years to finally take the plunge and to do that I had to let go and not let fear stand in my way and to really listen and trust my instincts. I believe we all have chapters to our lives and it’s important to follow our instincts, trust ourselves and do it.”

we can see that she really lives a natural, healthy lifestyle. She doesn’t claim to have any beauty secrets but says:
“I try to be good but the reality is this does not always happen! I try and drink a lot of water and get good sleep. Being in Bali allows me to easily eat organic food and to stay away from sugar. I use coconut oil on my body, Moroccan oil on my hair which helps it in the surf and cleanse and moisturise my skin morning and night with my newly found NAT. products for face and body”
We will be sharing more of Janine with you in the coming weeks but we’re sure she will love to see you at Surf Haven. For more information:
