Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between Natural and Organic?

Here are some definitions as a guide. Take note that there is no single standard for “natural” or for “organic” cosmetics. In theory, a natural or organic cosmetic contains nothing synthetic.

  • Natural refers to ingredients derived from plants, minerals, or algae
  • Organic describes substances grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilizers, and processed without man-made chemicals
  • Natural -- Some of the ingredients come from nature (non-synthetic).
  • All Natural -- All of the ingredients come from nature.
  • Made with Organic Ingredients -- The majority of the ingredients meet an "organic" standard, typically meaning that no synthetic pesticides are used in growing ingredients and that farming methods stress conservation.
  • Organic -- Almost all of the ingredients meet an "organic" standard.
  • 100 Percent Organic -- All of the ingredients meet an "organic" standard.

The ‘natural’ ingredients are unaltered, untreated, are not artificial and have nature as the ingredients’ source.

Why are natural and organic products better for the skin and body?

Skin absorbs between 60% to 90% of what you put on it so natural and organic are much better for you than other types of skin care cosmetics as natural and organic products are derived from plants and do not contain harmful synthetic ingredients. The NAT. natural skin and body essentials contain the purest form of natural actives that help the repair, restoration and regeneration of cells without the harmful effects of synthetic ingredients.

All our essential oils are genuine and 100%, pure.  Advanced analytical and purity tests are thoroughly carried out before bottling, enabling us to guarantee you the highest quality oils.  Unfortunately, many essential oils sold on the market today are of inferior quality and this drastically affects their therapeutic value.

What is the TGA?

I have very dry and mature skin. What can I do to slow down visible ageing?

We recommend an intense NAT. natural skin and body essentials treatment through a beauty therapist, incorporating a retexturing massage mask, enzyme peel, rice bran exfoliant, gel serums, rich oils and massage. This ritual encourages healthy cellular metabolism, strengthens skins elasticity and assists in smoothing expression lines and fine wrinkles and to leave the skin looking and feeling radiant and youthful.

What causes pre-mature ageing?

There are many outside factors that can affect how we look and feel. Health and lifestyle decisions most certainly have a lot to do with the ageing process. Factors like stress, pollution, alcohol abuse cigarette smoke, too much sun exposure, lack of sleep and exercise and meals that are lacking in nutrition.

Demands from modern lifestyles and increasingly busy schedules really mean that it is even more important to give ourselves some “down time” and take time out to de-stress and seek expert advice from beauty therapists. These experts can provide you with the right products, rituals and ambience to promote wellness and balance in our lives.

I am in my late 30’s. What is the right home care range and routine for me?

Your first port of call would be to visit one of our NAT. Salons. They are trained beauty professional s who can correctly diagnose your skin type and assist you with any of your skin care concerns. Ask them about our NAT. Face Peel!

For home care an excellent cleanser is what we always recommend for  your daily “skincare regime”. Skin that is not properly cleansed inhibits any other treatment from working to its best potential. The NAT. Face Replenish cleanser would be best for maintenance. We also have a fantastic NAT. Face Rejuvenate Serum which can be used by itself or with the NAT. Face Replenish moisture cream.

What are the benefits of essential oils?

Plant extracts or essential oils are odorous and highly volatile and have a consistency like water, rather than "oil". They are nature's antiseptics and have various medicinal properties - anti bacterial, analgesic, antiviral and calming.

Plant extracts have healing effects - on a direct physical level because of their ability to increase blood supply to the tissues and thereby relax the body and on an emotional plane, to calm, relax, uplift and invigorate.

Essential oils affect emotions through the senses of smell.  When an essential oil is inhaled it stimulates the olfactory nerves in the nasal passages, which transmit messages - via the olfactory bulb, which decodes aromas to the area of the brain, which then evokes emotions and memory.

Depending on the properties of a particular essential oil, inhalation will induce a specific effect.  For example: to calm, to relax or to uplift.

What is the shelf life of my NAT. skincare regime products?

All NAT. products have a long shelf life. Once a NAT. products’ seal is broken it is best to store the products in a cool, dark place, away from the sun. We recommend using the products within 24 months from the time the packaging is opened.

Does NAT. test on animals?

Quality Assurance is a process taken seriously at the Natalie Group. Stringent method is applied before any products are released to the marketplace.
